2. Proprietary Stainless Steel & Sub-Zero Treatment The blade is made from Masahiro’s original high-carbon stainless steel. By applying "Sub-Zero Treatment" (cooling below -70°C) and 3-stage quenching, the steel achieves a superior hardness (HRC 58-59) and durability. It offers the sharpness of carbon steel with the rust-resistance of stainless.
